Northeast Cape Coral private-well restriction remains active

As of September 14, 2026, the South Florida Water Management District still lists Modified Phase II restrictions for designated northeast Cape Coral properties irrigating from private Mid-Hawthorn Aquifer wells. The restriction does not apply to irrigation using City potable or reclaimed water. Check the official address map and current order before watering.

A disconnected meter, new construction, rewiring or a long-vacant property may require an approved inspection.
LCEC currently lists a $30 residential start/transfer fee; verify current charges when applying.

City Customer Billing

New customers establishing a City water and sewer account must submit the City utility application and pay the required deposit.

Confirm that service and a meter are available at the property.
Complete the City’s utility application using the legal owner or responsible account-holder information.
Pay the required deposit and any applicable account or connection charges.
Confirm the requested activation date and whether an inspection, meter installation, septic abandonment or assessment payoff applies.
